WHO IS THIS TRAINING AIMED AT?

Training is aimed at those working across the Cwm Taf area, who require substance misuse training to raise their awareness and understanding of the subject.

 

WHAT TOPICS ARE COVERED?

Among the topics covered are:

  • Methods of Use
  • Alcohol
  • Depressants – GHB, Benzos & Solvents
  • Stimulants – Mephedrone, Amphetamine & Cocaine
  • Hallucinogens – LSD, Magic Mushrooms & Cannabis
  • Analgesics – Heroin
  • Combination Drugs – Ecstasy & Ketamine
  • New Psychoactive Substances
  • Attitudes to Drugs and Drug User

IS THIS COURSE ACCREDITED?

Yes, although accreditation is not compulsory. The course is accredited by AGORED  CYMRU gaining 2 credits at Level 2 (GCSE standard). Those interested in accreditation need to inform the trainer during the course and complete a workbook demonstrating what they have learnt from the course.

A fee of £25.00 to cover AGORED CYMRU accreditation costs to be submitted with learners completed workbook.
