Moving On In My Recovery

Moving On In My Recovery

Moving On In My Recovery is a 12 session, groupwork programme that is aimed at women and men who are coming to the end of their treatment programme or are considering joining some form of mutual aid.  The programme was developed out of a series of conversations with service users, people in recovery and treatment professionals.

The material which emerged has been brought together with an evidence based  approaches resulting in a set of very practical tools and strategies.

The programme covers topics such as moving forwards, lifestyle balance, anxiety, building/rebuilding relationships,  peer support, shutting the door on relapse, grief and loss, being me, shame and stigma and moving on.

The aim of the 12 session programme is to help develop practical strategies to keep you moving forward with your recovery.  Moving On In My Recovery  groups are running all over Wales from Anglesey to Cardiff.

We are now training  former group members to become group leaders working alongside treatment staff to deliver the programme.
